Rob Zombie hit the stage for Louder Than Life 2022 with unique guitarist Mike Riggs rather than John 5 and everybody was slightly confused. Because it turned out, Riggs had quietly rejoined Zombie‘s band as John 5 give up to go be part of Mötley Crüe. In an interview with The Jasta Present, John 5 revealed that he nonetheless hasn’t spoken to Zombie since his departure, however notes that there is no dangerous blood between the 2.
“We’re not on dangerous phrases. And Rob wished me nicely. And he was, like, ‘Go get ’em,’ and all that stuff. So we’re not on dangerous phrases, however we simply haven’t spoke; we have not spoken to one another. However he is doing nice. He is obtained an incredible new band, and he is kicking ass on the market. However we simply have not talked. I do not suppose there’s any dangerous blood or something. On Riggs rejoining Zombie‘s band, John 5 stated he had no hand within the matter. However he is thrilled that the man is again.
“No. I believe what occurred was we performed Louder Than Life [in September 2022], and I advised Rob that I used to be becoming a member of Mötley Crüe. And we had two exhibits to do — we had Louder Than Life and we had Aftershock. And so I advised Rob, after which we went to go do Louder Than Life, and I noticed Riggs form of standing on the aspect. And I assumed, ‘Oh, that is nice. I believe Riggs can be unimaginable.’
“He did nice work on the sooner excursions, and I simply thought it was a beautiful thought. So I even stated to Rob, I used to be, like, ‘Rob, if he wants something, if he needs cupboards, if he wants this or that or something I can do to assist,’ I wished to assist in any means. However then Aftershock, I assume Rob did not need me to play Aftershock. So Riggs performed that one.
“What’s so unusual about it’s the public had no thought what was happening. And that is what was so unusual, is that, impulsively, here is Aftershock after which I am not there. So everybody was, like, ‘Properly, what is going on on?’ However I believe folks figured it out and it was tremendous and great. It was a bizarre transition, however that is okay.
He added: “I believe Rob, he is doing superior, and I believe the band is superior. And I believe it is a great band and individuals are having fun with it. And that is what it is all about. It is all about folks having enjoyable and having fun with the music, and that is what’s taking place.”
