‘A Streetcar Named Need’ Starring Paul Mescal Confirms New York Run

The acclaimed London revival of Tennessee Williams’s A Streetcar Named Desire starring Paul Mescal, Patsy Ferran and Anjana Vasan will switch to the Brooklyn Academy of Music for a restricted run starting February 28, 2025, with the Off Broadway run persevering with by way of April 6.

Directed by Rebecca Frecknall, Streetcar will play BAM‘s Harvey Theater following a return London engagement that begins February 3.

As Stanley Kowalski – the function made well-known each on stage and display by Marlon Brando – Mescal (Gladiator II, Aftersun, All of Us Strangers) can be making his New York stage debut.

The Streetcar London forged gained a number of awards, together with Olivier Awards for Greatest Actor (Mescal), Supporting Actress (for Anjana Vasan, who performs Stella) and the Olivier for Greatest Revival. Ferran, who performs Blanche, gained London’s Critics Circle Award for her efficiency.

The artistic staff contains: Scenic design by Madeleine Girling; Lighting design by Lee Curran; Sound design by Peter Rice; Costume design by Merle Hensel; Composition by Angus MacRae.

The Streetcar revival is produced by ATG Productions and Almeida Theatre, Gavin Kalin Productions, Wessex Grove, GGRS and LAMedia Fund with Rupert Gavin/Mallory Issue, Francesca Moody Productions and Oliver Roth.
