Filming on Channel 4‘s new crime thriller In Flight, starring Katherine Kelly, is underway.
The brand new six-part collection follows Kelly (Mr Bates vs the Submit Workplace, The Lengthy Shadow) as Jo, a flight attendant who finds her life turned the wrong way up when she is blackmailed into drug smuggling when her son is arrested.
Co-created by Mike Walden (Marcella, Whitstable Pearl) and Adam Randall (Sluggish Horses, iBoy), and directed by Chris Baugh (Wreck, Tin Star), the present will even star Stuart Martin, Ashley Thomas, Bronagh Waugh, Harry Cadby, Corinna Brown and Ambreen Razia.
Set in Bangkok, Bulgaria, Istanbul and London, filming takes place in Belfast with funding assist from Northern Eire Display screen.

In Flight is produced by Buccaneer Media and has been acquired for Channel 4 by Polly Scates, head of acquisitions. Government producers are Anna Burns, Tony Wooden and Richard Tulk-Hart for Buccaneer, Rebecca Dundon and Simon Judd for Fremantle, Mike Walden, Adam Randall and Chris Baugh. Brendan Mullin is a producer whereas Gary Davy is the casting director.
ProSieben has pre-bought the collection for Germany together with SBS for Australia and TVNZ for New Zealand. Fremantle is dealing with international gross sales.
