Hong Kong’s PCCW Media and SK World, the corporate behind Loopy Wealthy Asians and Delhi Crime, have teamed up for the big-budget Hong Kong-set drama collection The Season.
The present is created and govt produced by author and producer Yalun Tu, recognized for his work on NCIS: Hawaii and Wu Assassins. Chilean filmmaker Marialy Rivas (The Jetty) serves as lead director and govt producer.
The collection has a buzzy, White Lotus-like premise set amidst Hong Kong excessive society.
The official logline reads: “Set in opposition to the opulence and placing contrasts of Hong Kong, The Season follows a privileged group of associates gathering for a summer season of sun-drenched luxurious as boating season begins. What begins as a glamorous escape quickly spirals into an online of deception, energy struggles, and life-altering penalties.”
The ensemble solid options a mixture of acclaimed regional expertise, led by Jessie Mei Li (Shadow and Bone), three-time Golden Horse winner Karena Lam, Justin Chien (The Brothers Solar), Yvonne Chapman (Avatar: The Final Airbender), with Celina Jade (Wolf Warrior 2) and Toby Stephens (Percy Jackson And The Olympians). The solid is rounded out by Japanese mannequin and singer Kōki, Lee Jae-yoon (Bodily 100), and Hong Kong actors Anson Lo (MIRROR), Marf Yau (COLLAR), Lyman Heung, Thor Lok and Mishy Lee.

Agatha Lo will govt produce The Season for PCCW Media, with Chloe Dan, Matt Aragachi and Dylan Tarason for SK World. Aaron Shershow can also be a producer.
The Season will probably be distributed on regional streamer Viu throughout Southeast Asia, the Center East and South Africa, with further distribution plans to return, the companions say.
