Marika Hackman has launched a brand new model of her tune ‘Pores and skin’ with a visitor function from Laura Marling – test it out under.
The particular model of the monitor comes on the tenth anniversary of Hackman’s debut album ‘We Slept At Final’, the document that first launched the tune to the world.
Hackman has produced the brand new incarnation of the monitor herself, recording it between The Gatehouse in Abbey Highway Studios and her personal studio. It happened as a part of Abbey Highway’s annual collaboration with Pitchfork London.
The spare, spacious recording sees Marling’s vocals add depth and timbre to the tune, with minimal instrumentation giving it a hauntingly intimate impact. Watch the visualiser right here:

To rejoice the 10-year anniversary of ‘We Slept At Final’, Hackman performed the album in full accompanied by a string part at London’s Union Chapel on Friday evening (March 21).
Hackman’s fourth studio album ‘Large Sigh’ was launched in January 2024. In a four-star assessment, NME wrote: “The outcome is a superb follow-up to the breakthrough that was ‘Any Human Good friend’. Hackman raises the stakes in her music in a means that feels pure; it’s conceptually larger and extra creatively mature, whereas the songcraft makes this transition really feel earned.
