Thee Sacred Souls shaped in April 2019, composed of bassist Sal Samano, drummerAlex Garcia, and singer Josh Lane. Garcia and Samano met in San Diego in 2018, forming an instrumental oldies band. They met Lane a number of months later, and he joined as a vocalist for the group. The group was impressed by chicano soul, gospel, doo-wop, and oldies music. The group began solely as a dwell band acting at native venues in San Diego at first. After their second present, Bosco Mann invited them to file music at Daptone Data‘ Penrose Studios in Riverside, California.
The album’s debut single, “Can I Name You Rose?” was the primary track created by the trio. Work on their debut self-titled album started in 2019 and completed in 2022
Since 2022, Thee Sacred Souls have toured North America and Europe, enjoying their candy soul music at dozens and dozens of sold-out headlining exhibits, and within the course of they went from younger musicians to a tight-knit, stress-tested band who knew one another like household. The challenges of touring resulted in a darker, extra mature file, Alejandro Garcia (drums, guitar) says.
