Thee Sacred Souls shaped in April 2019, composed of bassist Sal Samano, drummerAlex Garcia, and singer Josh Lane. Garcia and Samano met in San Diego in 2018, forming an instrumental oldies band. They met Lane just a few months later, and he joined as a vocalist for the group. The group was impressed by chicano soul, gospel, doo-wop, and oldies music. The group began solely as a dwell band acting at native venues in San Diego at first. After their second present, Bosco Mann invited them to document music at Daptone Information‘ Penrose Studios in Riverside, California.
The album’s debut single, “Can I Name You Rose?” was the primary tune created by the trio. Work on their debut self-titled album started in 2019 and completed in 2022
Since 2022, Thee Sacred Souls have toured North America and Europe, taking part in their candy soul music at dozens and dozens of sold-out headlining reveals, and within the course of they went from younger musicians to a tight-knit, stress-tested band who knew one another like household. All the good bands have been made higher by life on the highway, and Thee Sacred Souls is able to be part of that pantheon. The challenges of touring resulted in a darker, extra mature document, Alejandro Garcia (drums, guitar) says. Salvador Samano (bass, drums) agrees: “As we bought busier, we have been all coping with issues again residence, attempting to stability life and music and touring.” Heartbreak, household points, discovering methods to be artistic while you’re leaving all of it on the stage each night time. Each member had their very own expertise, and no new improvement went undetected by their bandmates. “You possibly can’t disguise the way you’re feeling,” Garcia says, of the intimacy of touring. “We all know what’s going with one another.” Bio
