Jane Vivid, the Survivor: Nicaragua contestant, has died. She was 71.
The Season 21 Fan Favourite’s daughter Ashley Hammett introduced her mom’s loss of life in a Fb publish on Thursday after her physique was found earlier that day in her North Carolina dwelling.
“At present Jane Hammett Vivid was discovered handed away inside her dwelling by an excellent pal and county sheriff,” wrote Hammett within the publish. A reason behind loss of life was not disclosed.
Born Dec. 13, 1953 in Jackson Springs, N.C., Vivid was a 56-year previous canine coach when she appeared on the CBS competitors sequence in 2010. Separating the castaways into two tribes primarily based on age, she began off within the older Espada tribe.
Regardless of being the oldest contestant of the season, Vivid pulled her personal weight, praised for her power and contributions to the tribe. After being the thirteenth castaway voted off, she received the audience-voted Dash Fan Favourite, together with a $100,000 prize.
Vivid was remembered by followers and fellow Survivor forged members, together with Survivor: Ghost Island‘s Donathan Hurley, who remembered her as “a firecracker.”
