Franz Ferdinand says their new album revolves round probably the most uncomfortable of feelings.
“Individuals don’t love admitting to feeling concern,” says frontman Alex Kapranos. “Bob [Hardy] and I had this nice dialog about how concern is usually probably the most thrilling ingredient in life, or overcoming it.”
Hardy, the band’s bassist, says the songs on The Human Concern are a name to motion.
“If you happen to stay your life with out placing your self in a state of affairs the place you ever really feel afraid, then it is gonna be a fairly boring life. Are you actually dwelling?”
On this session, the Glaswegian rock band be part of us to dissect the brand new album. Hardy talks about how his motivation within the band has shifted over time, from amusement to craftsmanship, and Kapranos opens up about his Greek heritage, which the band explores on “Black Eyelashes.”
