Sonny & Cher had been an American pop music duo, actors, singers and entertainers made up of husband-and-wife Sonny and Cher Bono within the Sixties and Nineteen Seventies
The discography of American Pop rock duo Sonny & Cher consists of 5 studio albums, 4 compilation albums, one soundtrack album, two reside albums and twenty-one singles. Sonny and Cher had launched three albums and one single which achieved Gold standing in the USA, these being: Look At Us, Sonny & Cher Stay, All I Ever Want Is You and I Obtained You babe. Within the decade they spent collectively, Sonny and Cher bought over 40 million information worldwide.[1]
Their debut single was launched underneath the pseudonym Caesar and Cleo, and was “The Letter”, on the Vault Information label. Later in 1964 they launched “Love Is Unusual”, a canopy of Mickey & Sylvia’s 1957 basic, and “Do You Wanna Dance” on the Reprise Information label, These singles obtained little consideration[2] within the US and didn’t chart within the Billboard 200. In 1964, “Child Don’t Go” was launched as a single and was their first success, turning into a regional hit on the West Coast. After the success of “Child Don’t Go” the couple signed a contract with Atco Information within the US and Atlantic Information within the UK and Europe. On this label, they launched three studio albums and two biggest hits compilations between 1965 and 1967. After “I Obtained You Babe” reached #1 on the Billboard Chart, “Child Don’t Go” was re-released by Reprise Information and reached #8. The only was included on the album Child Don’t Go – Sonny & Cher and Buddies, a compilation launched by Reprise with their previous recordings underneath the label.
The couple achieved their worldwide success between the years 1965 and 1972, particularly once they had been signed to Atco/Atlantic Information and MCA/Kapp Information, with hit singles like “I Obtained You Babe”, “Little Man”, “The Beat Goes On”, “All I Ever Want Is You”, “A Cowboy’s Work Is By no means Executed” and “When You Say Love”. Their albums Have a look at Us, The Wondrous World of Sonny & Chér, In Case You’re In Love, All I Ever Want Is You, and Mama Was a Rock and Roll Singer, Papa Used to Write All Her Songs had been launched in North America, United Kingdom, Continental Europe, South Africa and Japan.
