A24 has launched the primary teaser trailer for director Ari Aster’s upcoming movie titled Eddington, which is about in the course of the COVID pandemic. The teaser introduces the characters as they’re discussing COVID conspiracy theories on social media.
The film is described as a contemporary Western and the temporary logline reads: “A standoff between a small-town sheriff (Joaquin Phoenix) and mayor (Pedro Pascal) sparks a powder keg as neighbor is pitted towards neighbor in Eddington, New Mexico.”
